East side of Korčula Old Town and the Pelješac peninsula in the background
Off to visit a Croatian island! A visit to Croatia isn't complete a visit to an island. It took a long time for us to decide which island to go to (Brač, Hvar, Vis or Korčula) as there was a lot of factors to consider (how to get there, how to get around, what to do there etc.) But Korčula (pronounced “Kor-chu-lah”) won out!

We had a pretty good 24 hours in Bosnia and Herzegovina but it was time to move on. It was a decent side trip and I'd love to see more of Bosnia another time.
Stari Most as seen from Koski Mehmed Mosque
It was a bright sunny day in Mostar! I was particularly excited to see the main event, Stari Most (Old Bridge)! But along the way we explored the ancient multicultural town of Mostar.
Dubrovnik coast line and Lokrum Island
So, the decision was made. We weren't going to do the Dubrovnik City Wall walk. But to make up for it, we would have to get out of Old Town to get some good views of Old Town.
Dubrovnik Old Port
Time to cross the Adriatic Sea! This will be the only only other flight we are taking during the whole trip.
St Peters Basilica as seen from Castel Sant'Angelo
We landed at 7:35 am at Rome (Fiumicino airport) and tried to get to the sights on our to do list as quickly as possible. Go go go, get through immigration, get luggage, get into town and leave our luggage with our accommodation, easy peasy.
Sunset at Hong Kong International Airport
I'm hitting the road again with A! Last year we did not holiday together at all so it's been 2 years since we've been on a holiday together. We're headed to Europe this time (yes yes, Europe for me again?!) but it's only the second time we've been to Europe together. The first time we only visited Spain.
Road signs on Uluru road
Today was our final full day on holiday and I had one last thing I needed to cross off on my list - climbing Uluru. It was basically the whole reason I went on this trip, as they were closing it at the end of 2019. I had never really thought I would visit Uluru this young but circumstances demanded it! (that's not the first time I've said that about a specific location, the other place I'd never thought I'd visit before 30 was USA and would you look at that - I've visited it twice now).
Kings Canyon as seen from Cotterill's Lookout
Today we went on a day trip outside of Yulara/Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. We were supposed to do this on our last day (tomorrow) but I pushed it up to accomodate for a possible Uluru climb tomorrow (fingers crossed!)
Kata Tjuta taken from the road just after sundown
Today was our first full day at the rock. I had a big plan ahead of me - see the sunrise, climb Uluru and possibly do the base walk as well.
